Let me start off by saying that both these systems are great. I started this comparison about 2 weeks ago, so I don't have enough information about this test to actually tell you which one is the best, and is going to make you tons of money. If the spread is how forex brokers are getting paid for their service why would I care about it? Just a quick reminder, spread is a difference between buying and selling price. So the bigger the spread is, the more the exchange rate has to rise in your favor to break even. To make things short - avoid high spreads! Whenever you see spreads higher then, let's say, 6 pips, RUN!

Let's not forget the trading platform. There are two options web-based and download trading platforms offered by forex brokers. Which one is better? This is something you should decide for yourself. Whether download or web-based, make sure that the trading platform has every trading tool you need, including charts, news, available currencies etc.

Just to summarize - investigate, interrogate and cross-examine your forex broker before you jump in! Test your forex broker with demo accounts and make sure to read those extremely boring terms and conditions. Oh, and one more thing, don't miss anything written in tiny letters in beige font - it might just be another "invisible" extra fee.

I bought this book on a whim, because I was frustrated. Incredibly, I had no information on how to calculate the swap rate. I have 3 big forex books on my shelf and wax eleoquent analysis technique, the Bretton Woods agreement, how to make a fortune, etc. - but not explain something as fundamental as understanding the swap rate - or why not such a thing! I tried Google is not trying to be tired and, from the deluge of irrelevant and, in particular typebusiness results. So when I read "swap rate" in the book here on Amazon.com - I have suffered with expedited shipping!

When I received the book I found the answer. The author has made it easy to understand. Then I'm curious about the rest of the book, and sat down and read it in one day. I do not like the author BS style of writing. It covers the really important things in a concise, easy to understand. It contains personal anecdotesfrom their experiences with the trade, which made it fun to read. Do not try to tell you how to beat the market and every time you rich night, using their system of trade secrets - (like so many other books and websites). I find it refreshing to read a book like this, that part of my precious time is required to give me, even the basic tools that I need help for me, my path to success.

This book came highly recommended here on Amazon. I have already recommended it to my brother who is also an investor (he's in stocks). He has wanted to learn Forex but didn't know where to start. This book takes a dry subject and makes it easy to understand. I wish I had read this book prior to my first few trades and I might have saved some money. Since reading Forex: Patterns and Probabilities, I have made huge gains in my success. In the book, Ed Ponsi states you should be happy with a 6 to 12% gain each month (which is lot more than you will get almost anywhere else legally), but this month has been exceptional (May). I really lucked out. However, I am content to step back and continue to make 10-12% a month (not a year,... a month) on my money. Its a no brainer and well worth the or so for the book. I use it for reference regularly.

I've traded Forex about 3 years and had lost a lot of money. After reading this book, I really knew that what happened for my Forex trading skills, and how to beat the dealer (as the title of this book).

The author mentioned many times that a trader should think as a dealer, which inspired me what mistakes I had made and knew there are a lot of tricky traps in Forex market. The topics like "All About Stops", "Trading the FED", "Fading News", "Big Figure Trade", "The Friday to Sunday Extension" etc are all invaluable to me and I am sure no other books have mentioned such skills / experiences.
